Give the people what they want. That seems to be the response from chef Nobuo Fukuda of Nobuo at Teeter House. When fans kept asking for a night of tasting (a la Sea Saw, the now-defunct Japanese tapas bar that earned Fukuda a James Beard Award in 2007), he obliged, with a one-night-only, 5-course tasting dinner (with optional wine pairings) from 5:30 p.m. to close on Thursday, May 26.

The menu includes such goodies as grapefruit and hamachi sashimi, East Coast soft shell crab with Vietnamese-style rice noodle salad, and coconut curry lamb. And Nobuo is encouraging foodie aficionados to go the extra mile with add-ons like miso marinated foie gras and hobayaki wagyushu beef with wild mushrooms. See the full menu here.

The cost of the 5-course dinner is $60 ($90 with wine pairings), and only the tasting menu will be served that evening. There is limited seating for this special occasion, which means spaces will fill up fast. To make reservations, call 602-254-0600.
