Next Monday, July 28, NYPD Pizza -- the locally-owned pizza chain with 11 other locations around the Valley -- will open its newest restaurant at 222 S. Mill Avenue. The restaurant will be inside the Tempe Gateway building, across the street from the Mill Ave./Third Street light rail stop.
The restaurant offers New York-style pizza, as well as salads, sandwiches, pastas, and calzones.

To celebrate the restaurant opening, NYPD Pizza will be offering free street parking on Monday, July 28. Seventy-five meters along Mill Avenue will be "adorned with NYPD Pizza-designed bags and balloons" and free to use.
In addition to the well-loved menu of lunch and dinner options, the new location will also serve breakfast to cater to the surrounding business and student communities. The Sky Harbor location of NYPD Pizza also serves breakfast.
Earlier this year the company introduced a new gluten-free menu that includes a gluten-free beer, appetizers, and dessert. All of the pizzas can also be ordered gluten-free or vegan, with Daiya cheese as a substitute.
NYPD Pizza has locations throughout the Valley including in Phoenix, Scottsdale, Surprise, Gilbert, Chandler, and Glendale. The pizza chain was founded 18 years ago and is locally-owned and operated by CEO Richard Stark.
