Hey, are you the judgemental type? Excellent -- you're just who we're looking for.
Chow Bella and Roosevelt Row are bringing you the fourth annual Pie Social on Saturday, November 16, and we're holding a contest to choose a judge for the panel that will pick the best pies in the competition.
It's easy to enter, but you'll have to get your haiku (or as we like to say, pie-ku) on.

Write your very best haiku (or more than one) and be sure to mention pie. Email it to New Times managing editor Amy Silverman at [email protected] by 5 pm on Tuesday, November 12. We'll publish our favorites and the winner will be invited to judge the celebrity competition. Please be sure to include your full name and contact information along with your "pie-ku".
Even if you don't win, you can still get your judge on by voting in our Peoples Choice award category at Pie Social, which will take place Nov. 16 from 2 to 5 p.m. at the "What Should Go Here" pop up park at 2nd Street and Roosevelt.
The celebrity chefs baking for you: Eddie Castillo, Arizona Food Crafters Suzanne Gwyn, Bake Goods by Suzanne Dana Stern, Bragg's Factory Diner Jeff Kraus, Crepe Bar Marisa Lown, Gertrude's La Dawn Driscoll, Liberty Market Julie Moreno, Jewel's Bakery and Cafe Lindsey Magee, Ollie Vaughn's Katherine Dwight, Phoenix Public Market Country Velador, Super Chunk Sweets and Treats Dana Dumas, Sugar Jam Cookies Tracy Demspey, Tracy Dempsey Originals Amanda and Corianne Sizemore, Treehouse Bakery Karen Olson, Vonceil's Pies
Along with the celebrity line-up, you'll have the chance to show off your own baking skills by making two pies. We'll give you five tasting tickets in exchange, or you can buy five tickets for $10. The event will benefit the Bioscience Arts and Green Shovel clubs.
Pick 'n Holler will be there to keep things musical, and we've even heard rumors of square dancing.
