The annual Grand Avenue Festival -- taking place all day and evening tomorrow, Saturday, October 20, celebrates all of the small businesses and local artists who call the neighborhood home. Many artists' studios and gallery spaces located along lower Grand Avenue open their doors for curious visitors to check out what's currently lining their walls, making for a lively and creative Saturday afternoon. Notable galleries include The Chocolate Factory and Bragg's Pie Factory (sadly, neither of them actually makes or serves sweet treats).

Beyond visual art, this year the festival presents a Feast for All Senses, featuring popular local DJs and musicians, and -- more importantly -- lots of local eats. Food trucks will located on Grand Avenue between 10th and 15th Avenues. Nearby restaurants, including El Norteno and Golden Moon Palace, will also be ready to serve the art-loving masses. And if you just need a snack to keep your feet moving, stop by Azteca Bakery off 7th Avenue.
