Sin City Smashburger: What Happened in Vegas Is Now in Your Mouth (sorry)

Whoa. We're barely into the new year and Smashburger comes out swingin' with the nationwide introduction of its Sin City Smashburger. Why such a big deal? Two reasons: 1) It's Smashburger's first ever limited-time offer and 2) It includes an Angus beef patty, applewood-smoked bacon, American cheese, grilled and haystack onions, Smash Sauce, and a fried egg on an egg bun. That's right, a fried egg. What do fried eggs have to do with Las Vegas? Ask your momma. Fry Girl's just glad they're gaining popularity as a trendy burger topping.

Like the Arizona Smashburger, the Denver-based chain creates special burgers for all of its markets, but the Sin City Smashburger will be its first local burger to go nationwide and will be available at all locations until February 27.

Enough chit-chat. Let's get to bitin'. See how the Sin City Smashburger sat with Fry Girl after the jump.

Pros: Whoa. Think crazy-good breakfast after a night of debauchery. The beef patty, applewood-smoked bacon, cheese, onions, Smash Sauce, and fried egg blended perfectly and could be tasted in every bite. The egg bun was soft and had just enough give to hold the ingredients together.

Cons: I wanted more haystack onions. I know, "Wah, wah, Fry Girl." Noted.

Would Fry Girl Order it Up Again?: Hell, yeah, I would. At about six bucks for the 1/3 lb. version (the 1/2 lb. will run you around seven) plus tasty rosemary-tossed Smash Fries and a drink, you can go Vegas, Baby for around a ten spot. Not bad considering the last time I was there, ten bucks could barely get me on a blackjack table.

What about you, Smashburger biters? Anyone else tried the Sin City Smashburger? What did you think?
