Sriracha Festival 
Saturday, September 24

If you love Sriracha — you know, the spicy red sauce made in California —  then you might want to head to Heritage Square in downtown Phoenix for the first-ever Sriracha Festival on Saturday. One ticket gets you unlimited entrees, desserts, and drinks made using the rooster sauce. Expect food from restaurants including Nook Kitchen, Salut Kitchen Bar, and Fuzzy's Taco Shop. Guests also can look forward to a mixology contest and live music. General admission starts at $50, and the event goes from 6 to 11 p.m. You must be at least 21 years old to attend. Snoh Ice Shavery's Grand Opening

Snoh Ice Shavery is celebrating the grand opening of its second location in downtown Phoenix with a party from noon to 6 p.m. on Saturday. Dig into Snoh's signature shaved snow ice creations, enjoy food from Back Door Eats, listen to a DJ spinning live beats, and even watch traditional lion dancers perform from 2 to 3 p.m. Snoh's new location is at 801 North Second Street #108. Fall Chef Series at Uptown Farmers Market

From now until October 22, Valley chefs will perform live cooking demos using local ingredients at the Uptown Farmers Market every Saturday. This weekend's featured chef is Doug Robson of Otro Cafe, and the farmers market also will raffle four $50 gift certificates to his restaurant. All products and recipes used in the demonstrations will be highlighted on recipe cards. Third Annual Garlic Fest at Queen Creek Olive Oil Mill
Saturday, September 24 and Sunday, September 25

Queen Creek Olive Oil Mill is throwing its third annual garlic fest this weekend. Visitors can purchase organic garlic from the Mill's farm; chow down on garlic-laced cuisine from food trucks including The American Poutine Co., Spice It Up, and Queso Delights; order from a special garlic menu from the Mill's kitchen; and even try garlic gelato. Attendees can enjoy a beer garden from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days of the Garlic Fest, which will be held on Saturday from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. and on Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Admission is free. For more information visit the Mill's website or the event's Facebook page.
