It's been two years since Roosevelt Row CDC and the Phoenix Street Food Coalition hosted a slew of food trucks in downtown Phoenix. We got pretty pumped up at the idea of having so many food trucks in our backyard in 2011, but long lines made that first festival pretty difficult to enjoy.
This time around they're planning on bringing a total of 50 trucks to the downtown hood for a two-day food truck fest with live music, a beer and wine garden -- and we're hoping fewer lines.

The 2013 Taste of the Trucks event will be held on Saturday, October 26, and Sunday, October 27, and will be capped at 2,500 people per day.
Early-bird tickets will be available online on August 1 and will cost $30 for a single day or $55 for two days.
The event's planners say that in 2011 tickets sold out in less than an hour, so if you want to get in on the action you'll probably have to move quickly. Check the Taste of the Trucks Facebook page for updates and a link.
Regular admission ticket sales will start on October 1 for $35 for a single day or $60 for a day pass. Admission includes food samples, but drinks will be sold separately.
Each day the festival will feature 25 trucks, for a total of 50 trucks during the two-day event. Registration for the trucks also starts tomorrow so stay tuned for details on what to expect. Expect many Phoenix Street Food Coalition members, as well as a few unique trucks from all over the state.
The fest will go down in the Evans-Churchill neighborhood, with trucks located off Roosevelt Row between Fourth and Fifth Streets.
As with the 2011 Phoenix Food Truck Festival, the event is a partnership between the Roosevelt Row CDC and the Phoenix Street Food Coalition, though the festival is a fundraiser for the downtown community development corporation. For more information, visit the Roosevelt Row CDC website.
