Taste the Biltmore
How does the Biltmore neighborhood taste? Pretty damn good if you ask us. Find out for yourself at the 5th Annual Taste of the Biltmore this Thursday, October 6th, from 6 to 8 p.m. Sample food and fine wine from almost 20 Biltmore area restaurants including True Food Kitchen, Zinburger, Aiello's, and Black Chile Mexican Grill. Live entertainment should keep you occupied between bites. This year's event will be held at the National Bank of Arizona building on 24th Street and proceeds will benefit the Arizona Centennial Commission's Non-Profit Foundation.  Tickets are just $10 per person and can be purchased here

Potato Cakes

We're opting for a different sort of cake today -- sweet potato cakes. Blogger Lisa kicks up these little orange finger foods with a dollop of sour cream and a smokey chipotle black bean salsa. She suggests serving them while watching your favorite weekend football game, but the look so good we're not sure we can wait that long to try them!
