Opening day at Chase Field is just around the corner, and if you're planning on heading to an Arizona Diamondbacks game this season, know you have some interesting new eats to try.

Earlier this week, the Arizona Diamondbacks and Levy Restaurants announced a handful of new menu items available at Chase Field this season. As usual, there are some playful riffs on ballpark classics ... and at least one item that will have you wondering what those Chase Field chefs have been smoking.

Last year, they gave us the 1,100-calorie Churro Dog. This year, it's the mashup of two American classics in the form of the Cheeseburger Dog — as in, a hot dog that's literally made of ground-up burger patties.

According to a press release, The Cheeseburger Dog is a hot dog that's "made from char-grilled hamburgers that have been ground up and mixed with chopped smoked bacon, dill pickles, green onion, and Cheddar cheese." The "hot dog" then gets breaded with milk and seasoned flour, deep fried, and topped with chopped smoked bacon, shredded iceberg lettuce, diced tomato, and a secret sauce.

Surprisingly, it only costs $10 and will be available, along with the new Chile Verde Mac Dog, at Big Dawgs on the main concourse and Extreme Loaded Dogs on the Diamond Level.

Other new edible items to try at your next D-backs home game include Buffalo Chicken Fries, a Stuffed Cheeseburger, and a Pit Viper Sandwich. There’s also the new Arizona Farms Grilled Cheese Cart, starring the Arizona Cheese, the Pit-Smoked Cheese, and the Southwest Cheese sandwiches. There will also be a Nacho Helmet Cart for those baseball fans who can't get enough liquid cheese in their diets.

The stadium will also stock additional beverage options including more craft beer; new Malibu Rum Bars on the main concourse; cocktails on tap at Doubleheaders, including margaritas and Moscow Mules; the Club Series Wine Bar, a newly renovated bar on the Diamond Level; and Roger Clyne's Mexican Moonshine Tequila Bar, located at two main concourse Cantina Bars.

And this being 2016, several vegan options have been added to the menu, including the Kick'n Chick'n Wrap and Poor Boy Sandwich.
