For all those times when you think to yourself, "If only there were a place to get a scoop of curry chicken salad right now," The Chicken Scoop restaurant is here to save the day. The new casual dining spot is expected to open this July and is being billed as "the Valley’s only eatery offering 14 flavors of chicken salad for dine-in or grab-and-go."

The restaurant will be located at 16495 North Scottsdale Road, inside the Scottsdale Promenade shopping center. Diners will be able to order various flavors of chicken salad by the scoop, meaning you can try both the BBQ chicken salad (bacon, cheddar, and BBQ sauce) and the Popper chicken salad (jalapeno, bacon, and cream cheese dressing) in a single visit. Other flavor options will include the Waldorf (grapes, apples, and walnuts), the Chipotle (black beans, corn, and smoky chipotle sauce), and the Veggie Dip (cucumber, carrots, ranch), in addition to, of course, the Original chicken salad.

The Chicken Scoop also will offer Toasties, "tasty and delightfully cheesy hot sandwiches," plus salads, soups, and side dishes such as loaded potato salad, broccoli slaw, and black eye pea salad. All meals also will come with a complimentary dessert "puddin’ scoop," which will come in rotating seasonal flavors like chocolate peanut butter or banana crème.

As for the restaurant's design, look forward to a modern farmhouse feel complete with wood accents, warm lighting, and open seating with two large walls of windows.

The Chicken Scoop is expected to open in July 2016. For updates and more information, check The Chicken Scoop website and Facebook.
