Let’s talk about cheese for a minute. It's pretty wonderful (okay, unless you're lactose-intolerant), and when you melt it between two pieces of grilled bread? Game over.

And now that you’ve got grilled cheese sandwiches on the mind, we've got some important news: The Grilled Cheese Truck in Phoenix is giving away free grilled cheese sandwiches today, April 12, in celebration of National Grilled Cheese Day.

That's right. In partnership with Arla, The Grilled Cheese Truck is serving free muenster apple bacon or havarti tomato basil grilled cheese sandwiches for lunch and dinner at various locations in the Valley.

You can get your free lunch at the University of Phoenix, 3255 East Elwood Street, from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., or at the Stryker Sustainability Solutions, 1810 West Drake Drive in Tempe, also from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.

And for dinner, get your free sandwich from 5 to 7:30 p.m. at the 56 North Community, 21021 North 56th Street in Phoenix, or at San Privada Community at 1480 East Pecos Road in Gilbert.

Other items available at The Grilled Cheese Truck include sides such as soup, tots, and coleslaw, and desserts such as the S’More Melt or the Mom’s Apple Pie Melt.
