North Scottsdale is about to add a new upscale neighborhood tavern to its list of dining and drinking options -- one that's already had success in the Central Phoenix, Arcadia, and Fillmore neighborhoods.
Next week a new location of The Vig, the bar and restaurant with four other locations in town, is set to open its doors in the McCormick Ranch neighborhood next week. The dining spot comes courtesy of well-known local restauranteurs Tucker Woodbury, Jimmy Riley, and their Genuine Concepts group.

The Vig McCormick Ranch will open on Tuesday, June 24.
As with the other locations, the dining and drinking spot will serve a menu of elevated bar fare (think Anchiote Salmon, Prickly Pear Shrimp Salad, and Sonoran Ceviche) crafted by Lead Chef Jorge Gomez. And though there will be some crossover, the menu for The Vig McCormick Ranch will be tailored to the Scottsdale neighborhood.
On the design front the newest Vig location will offer a "modern-territorial feel" with touches that will include bare wood posts and amber-brown paint. There will also be a large patio with misters and a river rock wall to add a sophisticated touch.
This fourth Vig location comes less than a year after the opening of the third location, The Vig Fillmore, in downtown Phoenix. The original location was opened in 2007 just outside of Arcadia neighborhood. A second location, dubbed The Vig Uptown, was added in 2010.
