It makes sense that the brand-new Total Wine store in Tempe is right next to IKEA.

They're both the kind of places where you could lose yourself wandering the aisles, browsing an overwhelming variety of products, and imagining all the possibilities. In the case of Total Wine, you can end up visualizing a fully-stocked wine rack at home, or maybe a cocktail party. And just as the Swedish furniture store has plenty of cheap goodies to satisfy your shopaholic tendencies, Total Wine has plenty of cheap wines to tide you over when you're too broke to splurge on that fancy Napa Cab.

Located at 8544 S. Emerald Drive, it's the third Valley location for Total Wine; the others are at Desert Ridge in North Phoenix and at Arrowhead Gateway in Glendale. For this weekend's grand opening celebration, there will be wine and craft beer tastings, plus live music, from 11 a.m to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday, and from noon to 6 p.m. Sunday.
