Happy Memorial Day weekend! Time for barbecues! And pool parties! And drinking beer out of cans! All in honor of the fallen souls who protected our country.

We're pretty sure most of you will be hit the road to escape the heat this weekend, but if you're planning on sticking around, there's plenty to do.

Here's what's on our plate.

Eat This: Dinner at The House at Secret Garden -- Sunday is the last day to take advantage of the spring Arizona Restaurant Week specials, so you'd better make your reservations quickly or you're going to miss out on the great deals on amazing meals from Valley restaurants (click here to check out our full Restaurant Week Guide). Binkley's may be booked but you might manage to score reservations at a hidden Phoenix gem, The House at Secret Garden. The tucked-away patio restaurant will be serving up a three-course meal featuring a roasted turnip soup with French tarragon and Crow's Dairy goat cheese, grilled lamb chops with scalpicon sauce, and a Fuji apple pie with an almond crumble and fresh whipped cream all for $40 per person. Sounds delicious! Click here to check out the full menu and make your reservations.

Drink This: The Ginger Creek at Hanny's -- If you're a comic book geek or a sci-fi fan, you're probably going to be downtown for the annual Phoenix Comicon. Once you're photo-op'd out and have secured all 25 autographs on your list, recharge your mutant powers with a strong drink at downtown's classy cocktail bar, Hanny's. We love The Ginger Creek -- a concoction of Knob Creek Bourbon, Canton French ginger liqueur, and ginger beer served on the rocks. Think Moscow Mule with an extra kick (and minus the cool copper mug).

Bake This Grill This: The Ultimate Turkey Burger -- Memorial Day weekend isn't complete without a giant cheeseburger. Skip your average meat on a bun and grill up this fancy turkey burger topped with sharp cheddar and a smokey Moroccan-spiced aioli. Pair it with an ice cold Coors poolside for the ultimate weekend feast.
