It's a mac 'n cheese lover's dream come true: Seven "cheftestants" serving up their most evil-genius mac 'n cheese recipes for fame, glory, and bragging rights.

All you have to do is show up, stuff your face, and pick your favorite for the People's Choice award at the Mac 'n Cheese Throwdown.

Yes, this gooey fantasy is happening tomorrow evening, at Old Town Scottsdale hangout 5th and Wine.

Marketing gal Kirti Dwivedi cooked up the idea after she posted an innocent tweet about the addicting comfort food and sparked a flurry of interest, with chefs and foodies replying about how much better theirs is than anyone else's.

Soon, she enlisted Girl Meats Fork blogger Susie Timm to co-host the event. The two hungry gals have Tony Morales (Desert Smoke BBQ), Kevin Wemlinger (Flemings Steakhouse), Steven Butler (5th & Wine), Chris Galli, Sean Currid (Cafe Zuzu), Eric O'Neil (Smart Kitchen), and Eric Gitenstein (Bliss/ReBar and MF Tasty Supper Club) on board for a night of total cheesiness, with both People's Choice and Judges' Selection awards to be handed out after the votes are tallied.

It all starts at 5:30 p.m. tomorrow at 7051 E. 5th Ave. in Scottsdale. Tickets are $20 and must be purchased in advance. Admission includes all-you-can-eat mac 'n cheese, meat, and dessert. The restaurant will feature drink specials as well.
