National Pinot Noir Day at Postino

This Thursday is National Pinot Noir Day, and Postino is celebrating with an all-day deal on the red wine. Offered from open to close on Thursday, August 18, guests can enjoy $5 glasses and $20 bottles of Postino's proprietary custom pinot noir. Named "Stagedive," this pinot noir was crafted by Postino's wine merchant, Brent Karlicek, and bottled by California's Banshee Wines. Pig & Pickle Cocktail Dinner

Scottsdale's Pig & Pickle is hosting its first cocktail dinner of the summer this Thursday. The restaurant has teamed up with Luke Detraz of Southern Wine and Spirits of Arizona to put on the event. Attendees can dig into four courses created by chef/owner Keenan Bosworth, which will be paired with cocktails. A welcome punch also will be served. Julia Child Dinner at Christopher’s Restaurant & Crush Lounge

Chef Christopher Gross has created a special three-course menu in honor of the birthday of the late culinary icon Julia Child. Gross worked alongside Child years ago on her PBS television series when he was an up-and-coming chef. Anticipate starters like duck liver terrine and tart of escargot, followed by entrees including lobster-roe-basted whitefish, coq au vin, and beef bourguignon. The dinner will conclude with a choice of Gross's famed chocolate mousse tower (pictured) or profiteroles au chocolat. True Food Kitchen's chefs have unveiled a brand-new menu. The healthy restaurant chain has introduced two new categories, including a vegetarian section and a bowls category, in addition to a slew of other new menu items.
