About 500 people gathered to show solidarity with those protesting the Dakota Access Pipeline.
Hundreds turned out to a rally in Phoenix to stand in solidarity with those protesting the proposed Dakota Access Pipeline, a crude oil pipeline that will run from North Dakota to a refinery in Illinois. Critics of the DAPL, which include Native tribes, say the project could contaminate the Missouri River and threaten the Standing Rock Sioux Nation's drinking water supply.
