Livewire Tonight

Tonight the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame will honor 2015's best chef, restaurateur, and beverage master at a ceremony at Livewire in Scottsdale. All of last year's Hall of Fame inductees including Joe Johnston of Agritopia, Joe's Real BBQ and Joe's Farm Grill; Craig DeMarco & Lauren Bailey of Upward Projects; Aaron Chamberlin of St. Francis and Phoenix Public Market Café; and Micah Olson of Bar Crudo will be present and will provide small bites for attendees. Along with their induction into the Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame, winners will be presented with their own Ed Mell-designed trophy. Tickets are available to the public for $25 and can be purchased online. You can view the list of 2015 Arizona Culinary Hall of Fame nominees in our earlier post.

The Upton Tuesday, March 31

This Tuesday The Upton in Scottsdale will take diners on a trip around the world with the restaurant's first "No Passports Needed" Dinner & Cocktail Party. The dinner, which runs from 6:30 to 9 p.m., will include spirits from all over the world paired with a six course menu. Chef Chris Schlattman's cuisine will take cues from global and pop culture with each course paired with a different cocktail. The dinner costs $65 per person and reservations are required. AZ Wine & Dine Thursday, April 2

Head to the Scottsdale Quarter this Thursday for the fourth annual AZ Wine & Dine, hosted by the Arizona Lodging & Tourism Association. The tasting event will feature 19 of the Valley's top resort and hotel restaurants, plus several Scottsdale Quarter dining spots and a selection of wines, provided by Young's Market Company and craft beer, provided by Hensley Beverage Company. Some of dishes you can expect include braised pork belly with a blue corn waffle and gooseberry jam from The Boulders; duck confit quesadilla from The District at the Sheraton Phoenix Downtown Hotel; and crispy chicken liver with creamed hominy, poultry caramel, and and cured egg yolks from Top of the Rock at the Marriot Phoenix Tempe at The Buttes. The event starts at 5 p.m. and tickets cost $65 through Tuesday, $75 April 1 and at the door. Ages 21 and over only. For more information visit the AZ Wine & Dine website.
