Tonto Bar & Grill Today
Today Cave Creek's Tonto Bar & Grill kicks off a month-long celebration of 20 years in business. Starting this week and throughout the month of December the restaurant will be bringing back some of the popular dishes featured over the years including Grilled Beef Tenderloin Medallions on Roasted Onions and Red Pepper Mashed Potatoes and Chili Lime Grilled Pork Tenderloin with Black Bean Cakes, Pepper Mango Salsa and Grilled Zucchini. The celebration begins today with one of owner Eric Flatt's personal favorites: Roasted Rack of Lamb with Balsamic-Thyme Jus. Arizona Distilling Company Wednesday, December 3
Last Friday Arizona Distilling Company, based in Tempe, released two new -- and highly anticipated -- spirits: Park Rye and Humphrey's Whiskey. The former is the first rye whiskey ever distilled in Arizona and is named after the state's first distillery, which was founded in 1864. The latter is the product of a first-of-its-kind collaboration between the distillery and Four Peaks Brewery. Made using 80 percent malted barley and 20 percent flaked rye, the spirit is "an extraordinarily smooth whiskey" named for the largest peak in Arizona. 5th and Wine Tuesday, December 2 through Sunday, December 7
All this week 5th and Wine, the Old Town Scottsdale wine bar and restaurant, will celebrate five years in business with special events and deals. Tomorrow night the restaurant will host an Anniversary Wine Dinner featuring wines from Oregon and France (the dinner begins at 6:30 p.m. and costs $75 a person), while Wednesday and Thursday nights will bring live music to the dining and drinking spot. On Friday, December 5 head to 5th and Wine for $2 wine night and live music from Korbe Canida starting at 6:30 p.m. The celebration continues through the weekend with a special weekend brunch from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. featuring $12 bottomless mimosas and poinsettias.
