Sip Coffee & Beer House Today

Though there's no shortage of great restaurants and shopping destinations in Old Town Scottsdale, the area was really lacking a cozy, chill hang out spot until Sip Coffee & Beer House opened its doors earlier this year. The new-ish coffee shop and bar offers happy hour from 4 to 7 p.m. daily with specials such as $6 Whisky Mules, as well as a slew of weekly events including Tuesday night trivia, open mic on Wednesday, and music bingo on Thursdays. Today Sip will have a special event: a free Beer Education class with certified cicerone Ben Schwirck from 7 to 9 p.m. For more information check the Sip Coffee & Beer House Facebook.

Tuck Shop Now through February 1

If you're a fan of Tuck Shop, the cozy comfort-food eatery hidden away in the Coronado neighborhood, then you're bound to recognize at least some of the dishes on the restaurant's new -- er, sort of new, menu. In celebration of the restaurant's six year anniversary, owner D J Fernandez has brought back some of the restaurant's greatest hits including Chicken and Waffles, Red Beans and Rice, and the crowd pleasing Pine AZ Spiced Steak. You can view the complete menu online and reservations are highly recommended. The Tuck Shop Greatest Hits menu will be available through February 1, 2015.

Umami Tempe Wednesday, November 24

Fall flavors have officially arrived at Umami in Tempe, where the chefs are taking ramen and adding in some distinctly American flavors. Starting on Wendesday and going through December 1, the restaurant will be serving a Turkey + Stuffing+ Cranberry Sriracha Compote Ramen Bowl ($10), as well as a Cranberry + Ginger Bread Pudding with Nigori Cranberry Glaze + Whipped Cream ($7). The restaurant's fall specials also include Pumpkin Hummus with Veggie Chips, Cranberry Whiskey Black Tea Toddy, and Cranberry Green Tea Soju.
