Real, Wild, and Woody Beer Festival

This Saturday from 2 to 6 p.m., beer aficionados from the newly-21 to the cicerone-certified can gather at the Phoenix Convention Center for the Real, Wild, and Woody Beer Festival hosted by the Arizona Craft Brewers Guild. More than 60 breweries, including the new 8-Bit Brewery from Avondale, will be on hand to discuss their products and craft with attendees. Tickets cost $57 and include 20 beer sample tickets, as well as small bites from local food vendors. Brazilian Brunch at Peixoto Coffee

Adding to the growing list of reasons to make the trip over to Chandler, Peixoto Coffee will be hosting a Brazilian Brunch this coming
Sunday morning. From 8 a.m. to noon, brunch-goers can sample a variety of Brazilian treats including Pão-de-queijo (gluten free cheese puffs with tapioca flour), Prestigio cake (chocolate coconut cake), and Empadinhas (pictured above). Bastille Day Menu at Christopher's

Bastille Day may have already come and gone earlier this week, but don't tell Chef Christopher Gross. The chef's Biltmore restaurant is celebrating Bastille Day through the weekend with a three-course menu with items including French Onion Soup, Coq au Vin, and Tarte Tatin. The dinner costs $39 per person with an additional $20 per person for wine pairings, and comes with a complimentary loaf of fresh bread.
