Street Eats Food Truck Festival Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8

This weekend the biggest street food celebration in the Southwest takes over Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. The fourth annual event, co-sponsored by New Times, will feature dozens of trucks including The Grilled Cheese Truck, Press Italian Street Food, Maine Lobster Lady, Mustache Pretzels, and Bang Bang Dumplings. Admission to the festival costs $12 and food and drink tickets will be available for $2 each. Gates open at 11 a.m. and close at 6 p.m. both days. El Chullo Anniversary Party Saturday, February 7

On Saturday, El Chullo Peruvian Restaurant in central Phoenix will be celebrating a one year anniversary from 6 to 8 p.m. The celebration will include complimentary appetizers and the first wine imported from Peru to Arizona. The event will feature three types of Peruvian wine and pisco including a Malbec/Tantat blend; Borgona, a semi-sweet red known as the Peruvian Burgundy; Moscato; and Pisco, a grape brandy that will served as a pisco sour. Taste in Tempe Sunday, February 8

This Sunday, Tempe restaurants and bars will come together for the second annual Taste in Tempe. The event will feature dozens of East Valley dining spots including Spokes on Southern, Ncounter, Cafe Lalibela, Desert Roots, Delice Bistro, Cartel Coffee Lab, and Paletas Betty. General admission to the event costs $59 and includes food and drink samples. The event, which runs from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Tempe Center for the Arts, will also feature cooking demonstrations from Hummus Xpress, La Bocca Urban Pizzeria + Wine Bar, and Ncounter; live music; and entertainment from CBS radio personalities. Tickets can be purchased online.
