Food Truck Caravan Saturday, November 29

Get the visiting relatives out of the house this Saturday night under the guise of showing off our local street food scene and the Food Truck Caravan. The weekly street food gathering will post up from 6:30 to 10:30 p.m. at 5th Avenue and Goldwater in the heart of Old Town Scottsdale. There you'll find up to 15 of the Valley's top food trucks, as well as heaters, comfy seating, and desserts from the new Caravan Café. After loading up on savory eats from all the trucks, the cafe will offer sweet treats such as homemade pies, cakes, pastries, and an ice cream sundae bar. For more information check the Food Truck Caravan website.

Treats for Toys Now through December 14

Tis the season of giving -- but giving doesn't mean you can't also treat yourself and at Sprinkles Cupcakes in Scottsdale you can do both with the cupcake chain's annual Treat for Toys drive. Now through December 14 those who bring a new, unwrapped toy for young children through high school aged youth will get a free Sprinkles cupcake. The toys will then go to local organizations including the U.S. Marines Toys for Tots Program and Scottsdale's Paiute Neighborhood Center. Limit one per customer.
