Three new films about cocktails, wine, and coffee (two documentaries and one comedy), have recently hit the On Demand circuit. So now you can follow the dreams of bartenders, learn about what it's like to take the master sommelier exam, and laugh at coffee culture whenever and wherever you'd like -- and maybe with a refreshment or two of your own.

Hey Bartender

The story of "the comeback of the cocktail and the rebirth of the bartender," this documentary focuses on the journeys of two bartenders: an injured Marine in a flashy New York City speakeasy and a former bank executive in a Connecticut hole-in-the-wall.

There also are interviews with renowned bartenders, a peek into New York's most exclusive bars, and commentary from New York City hospitality bigwigs Danny Meyer (Gramercy Tavern), Amy Sacco (Bungalow 8), and Frank Pelligrini (Rao's).

(Bonus points for using Joe Jackson's "I'm the Man" in the soundtrack.)

You can watch Hey Bartender On Demand via iTunes, Amazon Instant Video, Comcast, Time Warner Cable, and Xbox. For more information, follow the movie on Facebook.

Somm

A documentary that gives an insider's tour of the world's most rigorous wine accreditation, the master sommelier certificate, Somm follows four men "who will do anything to pass the most difficult test you've never heard of."

(Fun fact: Only 197 candidates in 40 years have passed the exam.)

According to Variety, there also are interviews with other master sommelier candidates and those who have earned the title like Fred Dame, who "in 1984 became the first American sommelier to pass the exam and has held industry-godfather status ever since."

You can watch Somm On Demand via iTunes and Amazon Instant Video. For more information, follow the movie on Facebook.

Coffee Town (Trailer NSFW)

From CollegeHumor, the website that gave us the Nickleback parody "Look at This Instagram" and "20 GIFs Guaranteed to Make You Wince," comes Coffee Town, its first feature-length film.

The Plot: "When a 30-something website manager who uses local cafe as his office learns of plans to convert the space into a bar, he enlists the help of his two best friends to help save his freeloading existence."

Directed by Brad Copeland (Arrested Development), the cast includes Glenn Howerton (It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia), Ben Schwartz (Parks and Recreation), and Josh Groban (Crazy, Stupid, Love.).

Coffee Town is On Demand everywhere. Watch it here.
