Lobster Mania Today through Memorial Day weekend

This weekend kicks off Lobster Mania at chef Eddie Matney's Eddie's House in Scottsdale. Every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday through Labor Day weekend you can head to the restaurant to dig into a 1 lb. fresh Maine Lobster and two sides for $29. The lobster preparation and sides will change weekly -- which means you can head back every week for a different lobster experience. And if you're feeling particularly hungry, Matney can bring in lobsters up to 10 lb. with 48 hour notice. For reservations call 480-946-1622.

24 Carrots Anniversary Celebration Saturday, May 24

This weekend 24 Carrots Natural Café and Urban Juicery in Tempe celebrates six years of business with two days of festivities. On Friday the restaurant will be open until 9 p.m. with a cake cutting at 8 p.m. and various menu specials. On Saturday, diners can get 10 percent off menu and will receive a free mini cupcake with every entree order. The vegan restaurant will also be serving Saturday brunch. The menu includes Mexican hot chocolate pancakes ($10), carrot cake pancakes ($10), fruity nutty French toast ($9.50), and a fried "egg" sandwich ($9.50).

Banana Bar Crawl 2014 Saturday, May 24

Go bananas this Saturday on Mill Avenue when the Banana Bar Crawl 2014 hits the popular drinking destination. All you have to do is show up and wear either a banana costume, something yellow, or something banana-related and you can cash in on drink deals all night long. The bar crawl starts at 5 p.m. at Loco Patron where participants can get $3 well drinks, wine, and beer and $4 margaritas. Nicky's Week Starts Sunday, May 25

This Sunday all five Valley Ra Sushi locations will celebrate their annual Nicky's Week fundraiser. All the restaurants will donate 100 percent of the proceeds from a variety of food and drink items to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The fundraiser was started in memory of Valley resident, Nicholas "Nicky" Mailliard, the nephew of one of RA's founders, who died at age 13 to a long battle with brain cancer. The special Nicky's Week menu includes: Edamame, Tootsy Maki, Shrimp Nigiri, Pork Gyoza, Chicken Yakitori, Garlic Citrus Yellowtail, plus a variety of select beverages.

Sunday Brunch at CCA Sunday, May 25

Want to learn to cook an impressive brunch spread but don't know where to start? Don't fear because Scottsdale's Classic Cooking Academy's chef Susan Kolman will teach you everything you need to know. This Sunday the culinary school will host a Sunday Brunch class during which students will learn to prepare fruit smoothies, spinach bacon frittata, buttermilk biscuits, and raspberry streusel muffins. The class includes bottomless coffee and mimosas and at the end of the course participants will enjoy brunch.
