Ottobrefesta at Taggia Wednesday, October 9

Taggia at the Fire Sky Resort and Spa is hosting Oktoberfest with a heck of a lot of Italian flair this week. Chef Massimo De Francesa is throwing tradition out the window to celebrate the tradition of Germany's Oktoberfest by creating a multi-course German-inspired meal with a unique Italian twist. The dinner, which costs $65 a person, includes "Salsiccia," grilled bratwurst with black truffle garlic aioli, and "Brasato," bira braised short ribs with pretzel gnocchi and pickled butternut squash. For a reservation, call 480-424-6095.

Wine Wednesday at Bobby Q's Wednesday, October 9

Throw out the notion that wine and barbecue don't mix. Don't believe us? Just ask Food and Wine Magazine. And starting this week, Bobby Q's in Phoenix will serve the best of both worlds every Wednesday. Guests will be able to buy a select wine at half price -- we're talking $4 a glass and $14 a bottle. That's a pretty sweet deal when you consider that the first featured wine will be Layer Cake Chardonnay, which received 88 points from The Wine Advocate.

Sushi Roku 5-Year Anniversary Bash Ends Thursday, October 10

For years, Sushi Roku has been serving Scottsdale residents chef-crafted takes on traditional Japanese fare. The restaurant, located at the W Hotel, turns five this fall and will celebrate with food and drink specials this week. If you stop into the restaurant for dinner between today and Thursday, October 10, you'll get 50 percent off the entire menu, which includes dishes such as yellowtail sashimi and baked lobster roll. Sushi Roku's signature cocktail, the Roku Fusion, will also be on special for just $5. Reservations are required to guarantee the deal, though walk-ins will be seated on a first come first served basis.

PJs & Eggs for Dinner at Over Easy Friday, October 11

Ditch the monkey suit for your favorite pair of pajamas this Friday when you come enjoy breakfast for dinner at Over Easy. From 5 to 8 p.m. all four locations will participate in the fifth annual PJs & Eggs for Dinner, a fundraiser event for the Arizona's Children Association foster care programs. The restaurants invite diners to wear their PJs to dinner and to bring a pair to donate to foster children who range from newborn to 18 years old. Those who donate will receive a free dozen Hickman's eggs.
