Super Bowl fever has officially hit the Valley of the Sun, so we've gathered some of the best food and drink events going on to celebrate the big game. It's such a pain to have a bunch of people over for the Super Bowl, so why not go out to eat?

It doesn't matter if you're a diehard Patriots fan, a 12th man, or not interested in football in the least, you can still enjoy the culinary festivities that Super Bowl XLIX will bring out around Phoenix.

Bitter & Twisted Although it won't be open on Super Bowl Sunday, Bitter & Twisted has put together a cocktail garden to get you excited (and inebriated) before the game. January 28-31, the open-air space will be open starting at noon and will feature a DJ, cocktail specials and discounted beers. Admission will cost $20 per day, and it will obviously be 21+.

Taggia From now through the day of the game, Taggia will have a special "Super Bowl menu" available for locals and out-of-town visitors alike. The menu features both Mexican and American-style bar food, such as homemade chilaquiles ($16, and includes a bloody Mary), mini brats ($12), a BBQ duck flatbread ($13), and a green chile burger ($16).

Del Frisco's Grille For discounted gourmet food and large televisions to watch the Super Bowl, Del Frisco's may be the place to go. Beginning at 3:00 p.m. on Super Bowl Sunday, Del Frisco's will have $8 cocktails, $10 sandwiches and flatbreads (in the bar area only), and $2 discounts on all draft beers. Of course, after you're done eating, you can head up to the rooftop patio to watch the rest of the game.

Proof What makes the biggest football game even better? An endless buffet full of wings, chili, BBQ, and other traditional pigskin delicacies. At Proof, you can get just that for $39 per person, and it'll feature three flavors of wings, a nacho bar, prime rib sliders, and much more. A 20-ounce beer will only set you back $5, while liters of beer will start at just $9. There will also be a raffle and giveaways over the course of the game.

Province For the entire weekend of the Super Bowl (up until kickoff) Province will be providing a daily food and drink special in anticipation of the big game. On Friday afternoon, they'll be serving up a special of three tacos and a beer for just $16 on their patio. Saturday brings another $16 special, where you can get a burger or brat along with a beer and some house-made chips at their afternoon tailgate. Sunday morning, catch the pregame festivities while you're enjoying brunch and drink specials, featuring a selection of bloody Mary, mimosa, and beer-themed drinks starting at just $5.

Phoenix Public Market Aside from providing music from local musicians in the days leading up to the Super Bowl, Phoenix Public Market will be expanding their usual Saturday market to last the entire day and feature everything from local vendors to BBQ. On Sunday, Phoenix Public Market will offer several Super Bowl food and drink specials, as well as offering happy hour pricing for the whole day.

Uptown Alley Most of the time, you wouldn't go to a bowling alley to watch the Super Bowl, but Uptown Alley isn't really a normal bowling alley. During the game, there'll be trivia and giveaways, along with free appetizers like a veggie bar and chips with salsa. As an added bonus, if you buy an entree in their restaurant during the game, you'll get a free game of bowling or a $10 game card for their arcade.

Thirsty Lion If you're looking for some cheap food and drink during the Super Bowl, Thirsty Lion is definitely an option. With draft beer, wine, well drinks, and house margaritas starting at $4, there'll be something for everyone to drink on the cheap. A game day food menu will have deals in the $4-6 range, so for those looking to celebrate the Super Bowl on a budget, it's worth checking out.

Nabers For a Super Bowl BBQ, Nabers has you covered on the day of the big game. With $6 burgers, brats and wings, you won't have to break the bank either. If you're thirsty, $2 domestic drafts and $3 mimosas will be available, and there will even be a bag-tossing contest for a shot at winning a Cardinals jersey.
