A round-up of tasty morsels from Valley food blogs.

Jess Harter of Mouth by Southwest had one of the 60 seats for Il Vinaio's semi-annual Beer & Donuts tasting last Saturday afternoon. Gourmet beer and doughnut pairing -- say no more. Check out his blog to find out which was his favorite fizzy doughy duo.

What do you do when you shatter your French press? You don't fret and get some plastic press lids. Easy. Don't you wish you'd invented this, first? ArizonaCoffee.com test drove these XPress lids and were really impressed. We're thinking that coffee (or tea) for one was just made so much easier. Love this.

If you haven't started following Scarletta Bakes, get on it already. You owe it to your Arizona food blog following selves. She's whipped up some clever cupcakes and annointed them with a gummy worm on top. Adorable -- plus you get a little bonus love story in the post.

Hey metro Phoenix eaters, if you have a food blog or know of one we've missed, leave word in the comments section.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
