Blasted Barley on Mill Avenue in Tempe to Debut First Beer This Thursday

It's already been a couple of months since Blasted Barley Beer Co. in Tempe opened its doors on Mill Avenue and though the name has always indicated that the place brewed its own beer, there haven't actually been any proprietary brews -- until now.

On Thursday, January 8 the brew house and restaurant will debut its first beer and host a tapping party to celebrate the occasion. RSVP now to reserve a spot for the festivities, which will include free beer, half-off specials, live music, and more.

Called Orange Bomb, Blasted Barley's first beer blends orange and chocolate flavors to produce a "dark, sweet and full-bodied" stout. The "unorthodox" beer has been in the making since December 11.

The tapping party will take place on Thursday and attendees are asked to wear orange clothing -- meaning anything from shirt or sweater to an orange hat. The party will include complimentary samples of the Orange Bomb brew, half-off Orange Bomb pints, and food specials all night long.

There will also be games, live music, and chocolate tastes from The Sweet Shoppe on Mill.

To save your space for the tapping party, be sure to RSVP online for the event. For more information, check the Blasted Barley Facebook.
