Rumors were confirmed yesterday with a phone call to Sola Coffee Bar on 5th Street in Scottsdale -- a recording immediately picks up and states they are no longer Sola, they are now Cartel Coffee Lab

We briefly spoke with Cartel Coffee owner Jason Silberschlag, who confirmed the takeover.

According to Silberschlag, Sola no longer wanted to continue their operation and the Cartel folks really liked the location and what the coffee bar had going for it so they decided to step in and take over.

Thanks Cartel, we wouldn't want to see a good coffee shop go to waste.

There is a grand opening party in the works, we'll give you the 411 as soon as we have all the details.
