Cafe Forte Bistro's Summer Prix Fixe and Waffle Ice Cream Sandwiches in Today's Eater's Digest

Hungry for your early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives?

Summer Meal Deal
Downtown Scottsdale's healthy comfort food bistro, Cafe Forte wants to lure you in Wednesday through Saturday evenings with their brand new three-course prix fixe menu. Choose your meal from four starters, four entrees and two desserts. Our choices? We would start with the romaine & arugula salad topped with toasted walnuts, gorgonzola and a tangy dijon vinaigrette, followed by the cafe meatloaf with caramelized onions and a a burgundy wine sauce, then finish it off with the  bourbon street bread pudding. Cafe Forte uses only the highest quality, natural meats and organic produce and whole grain pasta in all of their dishes and get this -- they actually want you to hang out and enjoy your dining experience. The summer prix fixe is just $29 per person. Reservations are suggested but not required. Click here to check out the full menu.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
