This week's cafe column poses a serious question; a sushi question. Is Moira Sushi Bar & Kitchen, the first downtown sushi bar in many years, worth the wait? Personally, we've been driving out to Sushi Ken or Te Haru to satisfy our delicious sushi and gimmicky sushi cravings respectively. The thought of being able to feast on nori and maguro without dropping a gallon of gas is a a welcome one.
To find out whether Moira is a great catch or worth throwing back, check out this week's cafe column.
Food Critic Michele Laudig on Moira:
As Japanese restaurants go, Moira didn't blow me away in the least. Though I enjoyed some of the traditional Japanese sushi items, as well as some of the pan-Asian stuff, there wasn't any singular dish that I'd truly crave -- nothing that transported my taste buds to some fantastic Tokyo hole in the wall.
