All hope of a turkey dinner may not be lost dear industry professional -- this year The Casablanca Lounge is hosting an Orphan Thanksgiving Dinner -- and it's not till Sunday. Join the Scottsdale lounge from 10 p.m. to close Sunday, November 27th for a Thanksgiving social hosted by Southern Wine & Spirits and Wild Turkey. Not only will there be bourbon glazed turkey for eatin', there will also be Wild Turkey cocktails for drinkin' and classic movies for watchin'. Not in the industry? That's okay, everyone is welcome. Last Minute Sides

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving and if you're anything like a few of us Chow Bella bloggers you have inevitably put off your Thanksgiving menu planning till the last minute. Have no fear, we found a nice roundup up last minute appetizers, sides, and desserts that you can whip up in a flash. There is even a couple vegetarian dishes since you know you'll have at least one family member that has recently "turned". Click here for Cookin' Canuck's Thanksgiving recipes.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
