The guitarist for The Rails is gearing up for the band's upcoming album release in February.
What'd you eat for dinner last night? Buffalo Burger at Native New Yorker.
Favorite food: Enchiladas
Least favorite food: Anything that's even been in the same room with onions.
Favorite dessert: Sopapillas
Favorite local restaurant and meal to order there: Four Peaks Brewing Company--garlic cheese beer bread.
Favorite local bar and cocktail to order there: The Rogue--Pabst Blue Ribbon.
Favorite thing to cook at home: Garlic and shrimp stromboli
Favorite memory involving food: My father making burgers as a kid. He read in a recipe that you should add spice to the ground beef, and the only spice he could find was cinnamon. To this day, he still makes them that way.
Recipe or food tip to share: Boil chicken instead of grilling it--takes longer, but tastes 10 times better. Add garlic, lemon and tons of kosher salt to the water.
Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
