Described as "incorporating the refined culinary influences of Los Angeles, New York and London," Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions, an artisan-minded eatery and marketplace, opens its doors at 7 a.m. today.

A kind of reincarnation of Chestnut Lane, chef-owner Polly Levine's short-lived, from-scratch cafe that opened in 2009 at 4233 East Camelback (now Carmel's Coffee), Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions, located across the street in a remodeled office building at 4350 East Camelback Road (northwest corner of Camelback Road and 44th Street), is the project of sisters and Levine-supporters Marissa Hochman and Kirsten Steele.

Chestnut's breakfast and lunch creations come courtesy of executive chef Bryan Langston, whose resume includes his own catering business as well as gigs at the Tonto Verde Association and 5th and Wine in Scottsdale. Diners can expect dishes like the Morning Bibimbap Bowl featuring quinoa, tamari, green onions, and sautéed kale with poached eggs and Korean chili paste; a short rib "Manwich"; and a lobster Cobb salad in a lemon vinaigrette.

In addition to the cafe, Chestnut will also offer a marketplace to pick up goods on the go, a coffee shop featuring Cartel beans, and an "avant-garde floral boutique" from Camelback Flowershop.

Chestnut Fine Foods & Provisions will be open 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., seven days a week. During the holidays, the restaurant will close early at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, December 24, and Tuesday, December 3, and will remain closed Wednesday, December 25, and Wednesday, January 1.
