It slipped under our radar for restaurant closings in 2011, but we've since learned that Diverti Bar & Grill, the eatery of suds and East Coast-style overstuffed sandwiches in Tempe, was shuttered just before the New Year.
Opened in October of 2010, Diverti was preceded by the short-lived Sucker Punch Sally's (which lasted less than six months) in the former Ruby Tuesday's at the corner of Mill Avenue and University.
A source tells me there are already new owners ready to move into the old space and that the location will re-open as a new concept called The Front Door.
Details to come.
