Closed for Business: The Kitchen by Good Eats Grocer

Open barely more than a year, The Kitchen by Good Eats Grocer, located at The Shops at Gainey Village, is the latest restaurant casualty. Today, the doors are locked and the lights are off.

Calls to the gourmet grocery store/bistro end up in a voicemail menu to nowhere, while the website is automatically directed to the company's California HQ, where no one was able to confirm the reason for the closure.

The Kitchen was nearly identical to Dish, its predecessor, featuring ready-to-eat meals to-go, cheeses, bread, charcuterie, pizza, salads and other gourmet items in the retail portion, and sit-down restaurant service at the bistro at the back of the space.
