Wake Up Call

Cold Stone Recall, The "World's Lightest Beer," and Bacon Wrapped Hogs in Today's Eater's Digest

An early morning serving of food news, with no preservatives or additives.

Scottsdale based Cold Stone Creamery had to yank all Grab and Go Shock-A-Cone ice cream containers from stores after customers said they found glass in one of the containers, according to this press release.

Cold Stone Creamery later published a second press release stating that the ice cream is safe and is being redistributed to stores.

According to this and several other articles, Americans haven't stopped drinking because of the recession, they are just getting smashed at home on cheap booze.

Budweiser Launches "the world's lightest beer", Budweiser Select 55, this week. 55 calories, 1.9 carbs and at just a mere 2.4% it's practically water.

We don't know why theses bacon wrapped hot dogs sound so amazing. It might have something to do with addition of brown sugar or maybe the puff pastry, either way -- delish!
