If you're looking for a gift for your favorite foodie, or just someone who needs to start learning how to not burn toast in the kitchen, the Arizona Biltmore Resort and Spa is offering several cooking classes and wine tastings through the end of the year--and we can think of a couple people who could benefit.
This Saturday, December 19, there's a class for $45 called "Chocolate, Chocolate and More Chocolate," where students will learn how to make classic Biltmore recipes. Every day after that through December, there's a different class/tasting, including courses in making holiday cookies and brunch-tastic meals, as well as seasonal wine sippings and cheese pairings.
The events range in price from $25-$45, and they all begin at 2 p.m. For more info or to sign up, call (602) 381-7632.
Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism.
