5-5-5 Wine Tasting at The Mint

We may not be mathematicians but we know a good deal when we see one. Every Thursday and Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. at The Mint in Scottsdale you can score 5 flights of wine for just $5. And since booze makes most of us just a tad bit hungry, why not grab some Asian-inspired samplers from the Mint menu for only -- you guessed it -- $5. For more details, a look at the menu, and information on other weekly events at the Mint, visit the Mint online.

Bunk Boutique Holiday Soiree with Giant Coffee (and MADE art boutique Holiday Trunk Show)

Bunky Boutique and Giant Coffee are teaming up to bring you a little holiday get-together this Friday (today) from 6 to 9 p.m. The event will feature wine and seasonal treats, local boutique shopping, a meet and greet with local jewelry makers, free portraits, and most importantly, a chance to pre-order your holiday cookies and pies from Giant.

And if you finish your holiday shopping early at Bunky, you can head over to MADE art boutique for its Holiday Jewelry Trunk Show complete with handcrafted works from local artists, a berry cobbler toppings bar, and wine. Bring your Bunky receipt with you and get 15% off your purchase at MADE now through Sunday.

Smart Cookie Holiday Tasting at Songbird Coffee & Tea

While we could easily argue from here to next Christmas about whose holiday cookies are better, it's safe to say that the free ones take the cake. No one understands this better than Songbird Coffee & Tea. The local Roosevelt Row coffee hang out has teamed up with one of its regular baked good suppliers, Smart Cookie, for a free cookie tasting event this Saturday from 2 to 4 p.m. Sample the newest holiday creations from Smart Cookie as the little company celebrates its one-year anniversary. For more information visit the Smart Cookie Holiday Event on Facebook and to order your own batch of seasonal treats visit Smart Cookie online.

SanTan Winter "Heart" Warmer Toy Drive at World of Beer

What goes well with good will? Good beer. The good folks over at World of Beer in Tempe have proposed a trade: Bring in one new toy for a child in need this holiday season, and they'll hand you one free draft in return. The Beers for Toys drive ends this Sunday and to make sure this charity event goes out with a bang, World of Beer has teamed up with SanTan Brewing Company to bring in some speciality kegs, including the SanTan Winter Warmer. For more information visit the World of Beer Toy Drive on Facebook.
