It seems as if there's a National Day of just about anything. And today is no exception.

It is National Lasagna Day! So, wave your Italian flags, stick a napkin in your collar and get ready for some cheesy, meaty, noodle-y goodness.

If you head on down to any Buca di Beppo location today you'll get free lasagna in honor of the occasion (with the purchase of another pasta dish or entree).

Last week it was free appetizers with the eClub deal (that's still available, by the way), and the deals are just getting better...or bigger, at least. The Italian family-style restaurant chain boasts a lasagna that has nine layers of noodles and homemade meat sauce, along with four different Italian cheeses -- ricotta, mozzarella, provolone and parmesan.

Feeling stuffed yet?

There are four Valley locations -- one in Arrowhead at 16091 North Arrowhead Fountains Center Drive, one in Chandler on Ray Road, another in Mesa off the US-60 at Val Vista Dr. and a fourth in Old Town Scottsdale on 1st St.

Keep Phoenix New Times Free... Since we started Phoenix New Times, it has been defined as the free, independent voice of Phoenix, and we would like to keep it that way. Offering our readers free access to incisive coverage of local news, food and culture. Producing stories on everything from political scandals to the hottest new bands, with gutsy reporting, stylish writing, and staffers who've won everything from the Society of Professional Journalists' Sigma Delta Chi feature-writing award to the Casey Medal for Meritorious Journalism. But with local journalism's existence under siege and advertising revenue setbacks having a larger impact, it is important now more than ever for us to rally support behind funding our local journalism. You can help by participating in our "I Support" membership program, allowing us to keep covering Phoenix with no paywalls.
