Looking for something fun to do with the kiddos this holiday season or maybe you just really, really like decorating houses for the holidays especially houses of the gingerbread variety? Then you are not going to want to miss the next installment of Lon's at the Hermosa's Art of Cooking Series - How to Build the Perfect Gingerbread House.

Saturday, December 10th and Saturday, December 17th, Lon's pastry chef will help you build your very own holiday gingerbread dream home. Once the walls of your ginger-abode are in place, you can start the decorating process with an endless supply of gingerbread house materials. Beverages and snacks will be provided. $49 per house. Reservations are required and can be made by calling 602-955-7878.

Healthy Eats - Shrimp Salad Sandwich
Today's healthy treat is a protein-packed shrimp salad sandwich perfect for a light lunch or easy dinner. Basil, plain yogurt, and garlic season the little prawns which are then served with a few slices of creamy avocado and ripe tomatoes on a slice of hearty toasted bread.
