GoodyTwos Toffee Company Twists Classic and Traditional Flavors: Locally Made

Mother-daughter duo Donna Gabrilson and Stacey Barnes serve up small batches of handmade goodness in the form of toffee. Made from artisan ingredients like Belgian chocolate and local Cruz tequila, GoodyTwos is most definitely traditional toffee kicked up a notch or two.

From humble beginnings in Donna's home kitchen as Market Street Toffee, the operation has grown into a Scottsdale storefront with a corporate gifts business and plans for an online store in the near future.

Mom's traditional toffee started it all, using her great-grandmother's recipe. Later, Stacey got a hold of the recipe, and, flavors like "Cinnfully Hazelicious" and "2-Alarm Peanut Brittle" were born. Currently, GoodyTwos offers seven toffees to choose from with plans to add a handful to the menu over the summer and following months.

If the toffee isn't enough to satisfy, the "crunchy truths" found in each package serve up a dose of wit with your sweet. Like a fortune, only better, each slip of paper offers something to ponder with your snack.

GoodyTwos boasts a more robust, less sugary toffee than other varieties available. Their "Nutty Twist" flavor incorporates macadamia nuts, tequila, white chocolate and lime. 2-Alarm Peanut Brittle, inspired by Stacey's husband and uncle, uses beer to give the toffee an added richness and depth of flavor. Sweet and Salty, a combination of salt, vanilla and dark chocolate, was born from customer requests.

Since their rebranding from Market Street to GoodyTwos Toffee Company eight months ago, the business has also gone back to its beginnings, selling their toffees at the Scottsdale Farmer's Market each Saturday.

Stop by their store and you'll still find Donna and Stacey at work in the kitchen, cooking up their traditional and contemporary treats, one batch at a time.
