Being a freelance writer has its perks. I can work in my pajamas if I like, I can do dishes on my "breaks," and I can go to breakfast whenever I feel like it. The only problem is that most people are tucked away in their offices during the week, which forced me to get over my biggest fear -- eating breakfast alone in an actual restaurant.

Armed with a book, I headed to Scottsdale and found myself a nice window seat at this cute French bakery and eatery. I ordered up a beautiful plate of house baked brioche French toast topped with sweet maple syrup and an iced coffee. The coffee wasn't exactly great, but the French toast was amazing. I'll be going back soon -- alone! Do you know where I'm eating?

Guess Where I'm Eating and Win A Prize

Email the correct answer to whereamieating@newtimes.com and I will randomly pick a winner from all of the correct guesses and send the winner a prize. This week's winner will receive a $50 gift certificate to the Latilla Restaurant at The Boulders Resort in Carefree. Good luck!

Last week, I made a giant pig out of myself by scarfing down an entire Gladiator Burger from the Daily Dose in Scottsdale. It's one of my all-time favorite burgers in town. This this week's winner is Mark Kondo. Have fun at Hula's!
