Yesterday we met Jake Dean, the rock star bartender who mixes drinks and packs the house over at Sushi Roku. Today he shares with us the recipe for the Passion & Spice, a cocktail made with citrus fruits and jalapeno.

"I like to recommend this one if the guest is up for trying something new and different," Dean says. "Every person has this reaction like, 'Whoa!'"

"Whoa" is the proper reaction; the drink is uber-spicy, but you'll be amazed at how well the peppers and sweet citrus work together.

The ingredients:

1.5 oz. Skyy passion fruit vodka
½ oz. Triple Sec
½ oz. simple syrup
2 slices orange sliced in eighths
3 pieces lemon sliced in eighths
4 small slices jalapeno, cut into rounds with seeds and embryo removed

How to make it:

Muddle orange, lemon and jalapeno with simple syrup in the bottom of a glass. Add Skyy and Triple Sec, then transfer to an ice-filled shaker. Shake vigorously, then strain into a chilled martini glass. Garnish with two small slices jalapeno.
