It's official -- the lovely Lola Coffee on Central just south of Camelback (4700 N. Central Ave.) has been sold. It shall now be referred to as Citizen Espresso Bar.

Don't worry loyal Lola fans, long time employee Tiffany Dew bought the place and she's still going to be serving the same coffee you know and love.

The sale was finalized February 1st and Tiffany has been super busy making the space her own over the last few weeks. Pastry cases have been purchased as well as a brand new espresso machine and the new sign is scheduled to go up today.

Citizen Espresso Bar will still be using Lola's house-roasted beans but will now be baking tasty pastries, quiche, cookies, and muffins in house. Gluten-free and vegan options should be showing up in the next couple weeks.

The smaller, newer Lola location on Roosevelt and 3rd Avenue will not be affected, we're told. A grand opening party is in the works but no exact date has been set. We'll be sure to let you know as soon as we hear the word.
