Can't wait till May 16th for ZuZu's Chef's Dinner with Duncan Farms? Well you're in luck --- you can get your Duncan Farm's fix this week at Lon's at the Hermosa. Thursday, May 5, Duncan Farm's and the Lon's culinary team have created a five-course Farm to Table dinner featuring locally grown produce and Arizona raised meats. The reception starts with house-cured prosciutto and seasonal melon then continues with smoked Arizona trout, riccota stuffed squash blossoms, bacon wrapped Arizona rabbit, Arizona berkshire porchetta with local bean succotash and grilled peaches, and a goat cheese souffle cake with blackberries. BBC Taco Tuesday
What the heck is a BBC Taco? Glad you asked --- it's made up of beans, beer and cabbage, preferably of the purple variety. Invite a few friends over for these super easy-to-make vegan tacos, which have just the right amount of kick. Feel free to use whatever beer you have handy, but if you must go out and buy beer, stick with the Anchor Steam --- it's a great beer that won't overpower the spices in the dish.
