36: Nutella Strawberry Crepe from Cibo

We love Cibo for making it feel like we can indulge in a classy Italian meal without breaking the bank. Our perfect meal? Start with the pear salad with arugula and pecorino cheese, follow it with a couple of gourmet pies, and finish with one of their amazing crepes. You have several options for sweet dessert crepes, most of which feature nutella, because a bit of hazelnut goodness makes the end of a great meal even better. Our favorite is the nutella crepe with strawberries, which is folded into quarters and packed with some of our favorite ingredients.

You can get your crepes with straight nutella, but we prefer our nutella with the addition of fresh and fruity strawberries. The crepe itself was thin and perfectly crisp with just a bit of chewy resistance and a slight sweetness. It's the addition of nutella that really makes this a decadent treat. There was enough nutella in the folded crepe that it temporarily glued our mouths shut with its richness, making us moan as the buttery chocolate spread slowly dissolved on our tongue. A burst of fresh strawberry flavor set off the choco flavor here and there, and the powdered sugar left our lips, chins, and shirts slightly dusted in sugary goodness.
