With just a little more than two weeks left to dust off those pie tins, Chow Bella and Roosevelt Row proudly announce our final line-up of celebrity chefs for the first-ever Pie Social, to be held Saturday, November 13, 2 to 6 p.m. at 5th Street and Roosevelt:
Veronica Arroyo, Bourbon Steak; Tracy Dempsey, Tracy Dempsey Originals; Slade Grove, Wicked Kitchen Gourmet & Cookies From Home; Andrea Kretzmann, Saffron Kitchen; Danielle Leoni, The Breadfruit; Joan O'Connor, Honey Moon Sweets Bakery & Dessert Bar; Sia Trujillo, That's a Wrap; Silvana Salcido Esparza, Barrio Café; and Traci Wilbur, Pie Snob.
These fine bakers will be offering their pies for your tasting enjoyment ($10 for 5 tasting tickets) and each will also offer up a pie for a silent auction.
In addition, you are invited to bake a pie -- or two -- for our community pie tasting. Bring two pies and we'll give you 5 tasting tickets. You can download an application or simply show up Nov. 13 with pie. And there's no baking requirement -- you are welcome to simply come and buy tasting tickets. We'll even provide the fork.
Stay tuned to Chow Bella for more news next week about pie crafts, pie games and pie recipes.
