Knowing their lease was about to expire, the Porters decided to renew and give their restaurant a redesign from top to bottom. The process, Wendy Porter says, took about three months to bring to life. The remodeled space will be more contemporary, and the new menu will allow Porter to create dishes that bring out his "playful side."

The Porters say the changeover to Petite Maison Modern French will be brief and seamless. The restaurant will be open for brunch only on Sunday, December 1, and closed Monday and Tuesday, December 2 and 3, before it reopens with its new look at 5 p.m. Wednesday, December 4.

New Hours (Beginning Wednesday, December 4) Dinner: 5 to 10 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday Lunch: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday Happiest Hours: 3 to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Sunday Brunch du Champagne: 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Sunday
